Hollywood Cookie Diet
The Hollywood Cookie Diet was created by Jamie Kabler and Larry Turner. This diet is basically a meal replacement program, aside from a sensible 600-800 calorie dinner, you substitute meals with up to four cookies per day. Each 12 count box of Hollywood cookes lasts up to 3 days. Each cookie contains 140-150 calories, 5 grams of protein and 3-4 grams of fiber. The cookies come in a variety of flavors. For better results, Hollywood Cookie Dieters are encouraged to do at least 30 minutes of physical exercise daily.
The Hollywood cookie dieters are to stay away from foods high in carbs, calories, and fat. Foods such as fast food, potato chips, sugar, processed foods, soft drinks, white rice, butter and margarine, and bread and pasta made with white flour. Hollywood cookie dieters are encouraged to eat foods such as vegetables, fruits, beans, tuna, nuts, chicken, salmon, potatoes, olive oil, cous cous, cottage and fetta cheese.
Does it Work?
Certain celebrities have endorsed the Hollywood Cookie diet as effective for them. The diet restricts calorie intake and portion sizes, which are effective strategies for weight loss. The dietary fiber in each cookie is said to provide some natural appetite suppressant. The encouragement to exercise 30 minutes per day is a calorie burning tool. The issue with this diet is the same as all calorie, portion control diets. The risk of rebound weight gain is high when the dieter goes back to eating a normal diet.
